Flourishing with a Traumatic Brain Injury, every single day

Meet Jen - TBI survivor and life-long rehabilitator

Jen Schuringa had a life-changing traumatic brain injury (TBI) back in 2013. Her injury impacted the communication between her brain and body; it’s as though she’s locked in.

Despite this injury, Jen’s approach to life is inspirational. Follow her journey on the Camino de Santiago and learn from her ten years of brain injury rehabilitation experience as she defines new meaning in her life and her community!

The Camino de Santiago

Jen is currently planning a once-in-a-lifetime breakout opportunity to traverse the Camino de Santiago across the North of Spain in her wheel chair. She’s bringing along J’s Crew (her team of volunteers!) to support her journey as she conquers fears and spreads awareness about TBI.

J’s Crew

J’s Crew will be pushing Jen in her wheelchair on the Camino de Santiago. We are 15 people who will be supporting Jen’s goal to launch her community and we are so proud to be a part of her journey!

Jen’s blog

Jen and family share ten years worth of lessons learned on TBI rehabilitation, living a meaningful life with TBI and significant disability and more on our blog. Read about our adventure on the Camino here.
